Rotortech deferred to 2021…July 7th, 2020 Comments Off on Rotortech deferred to 2021…
As the organiser of the ROTORTECH Helicopter and Unmanned Flight Exposition, AMDA Foundation Limited has continuously monitored the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on Australian domestic and international travel, in order to assess whether, on its current dates from 14 to 16 October 2020, ROTORTECH will remain readily accessible to exhibitors, participants and stakeholders from Australia and around the world.
Unfortunately, the recent course of COVID-related travel constraints has suggested that the prospect of internal domestic border closures and the continuation of international travel restrictions may adversely affect ease of travel to Brisbane in October. The ongoing implications of the pandemic over the next few months remain unpredictable and we are unable to be reasonably confident that travel constraints will not continue to apply.
To avoid any continuing uncertainty for exhibitors, participants and industry, we have therefore decided to defer ROTORTECH until mid-next year, by which time the prospect of border restrictions and travel constraints should, hopefully, have passed.
The new dates for ROTORTECH will be Tuesday 15 June to Thursday 17 June 2021. The venue, the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane, is unchanged.
ROTORTECH is the region’s premier helicopter and unmanned flight systems showcase and forum, featuring more than 100 participating companies and key speakers from industry and government. Its mission is to provide an effective platform for industry engagement and promotion.
We believe that deferring ROTORTECH to its new June 2021 dates will achieve this goal by moving the event to a time where the COVID situation will have improved and the current uncertainties will have passed, allowing full participation by industry and major stakeholders.
Like all responsible organisations, we will continue to be guided by advice from public health authorities and will comply with directions from the Australian and Queensland Governments. The preservation of public health will always be our paramount commitment. Providing our participants with as much clarity and certainty as practicable in these challenging and unprecedented circumstances is one of our major priorities.
Along with our principal conference partner, the Australian Helicopter Industry Association Limited, we remain focused on our mission to present ROTORTECH as a premium platform for the helicopter and unmanned flight community.
